A New Animatic

For some reason I could only get this to export huge or at poor quality so sadly you'll have to make do with the latter. Hopefully though its enough to show the recent developments to the project which despite making our lives more difficult over the next few months, will be of benefit to the story.

La Marche Des Sans Nom – Jean Constantial, Nicolas Laverdure & Lucas Vigroux (2006)

A very intense compacted, truthful and surreal commentary on war. Coming from a collaboration of students of Supinfocom, the quality of the production is, as usual, astounding. The tiny details are what makes the film really stand out from other socio-political criticisms.

Animatic Madness

Hello, its Sarah here!


This is my first post on this blog and it comes in the middle of a very stressful week. But here we go an updated animatic which is immensely drastically different than before. It will be tight but its shorter:

Update:

So, it's stupid o'clock in the morning, and I'm waiting on that delightful AfterEffects render noise. If everything's worked out okay, then we have new leica reel! If not, there'll be one in a few hours.

Today the external examiner's coming around the uni to have a look at everyone's projects and give some feedback. There's lots prepared for that, and hopefully everything will be good.

There's now frames to get cleaned up and inbetweened, so we're getting there.

Also - since I finally got my arse in gear, Sarah Dargie will soon be embellishing the blog with her continuing work for the project - 3 cheers for her!

Animation-a-go-go!

So, another session of cupboard animating later, and we've got more animation!

(and yes, there was enough caffiene in our systems to crystallise on the paper.)

There's Scene 3, (here on vimeo) which was up here before, just keyframed. Now, it's all been inbetweened by Sarah Dargie and looking good - however, vocals may need to be recorded, so there could be another version with very slightly different timing around the lipsync.

And there's Scene 8, (here on vimeo) which is the still going on - this is a a first pass so I can get his leg action sorted before attempting to get his arm swinging.
